Keeping the Moon By Sarah Dessen

15 year old Colie has never fit in. When she was little, she was overweight and now, even though she's skinny, she still doesn't fit in. What's a girl to do? Because of her mother being on a fitness tour, she gets shipped off to North Carolina with an crazy and colorful aunt who has a hippie living with her! Not to mention the two best friends she works with, a loud mouth and timid mouse. This summer is going to change her forever.

Michaela: This book was ok. I didn't like it as much as some of her other novels but it in a class of its own no less. This really strips our society to the bone and shows just how cruel we can be to people different to us.

Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging By: Louise Rennison
What do you get when you have a wild cat the size of a small dog, a little sister who messes stuff up without even knowing it, a dad who can't hold a job down and a mother who needs someone to love all the time? Georgia Nicolson's life. Georgia is a 14 year old who met the Sex God of her dreams, Robbie Jennings but the only thing that stands in her way is his girlfriend and her age. This is a hilarious story of the girl trying to get the guy and staying sane while she's at it.

Michaela: I loved these books! Georgia is crazy (and maybe a little shallow) but somehow has everything work out in the end. This is life flying by the seat of your pants at its greatest! It always has an unexpected twist and it makes you laugh your head off.
